Cross-Platform
C-Index/II is supplied with full source code and make files for popular compilers. When generating the C-Index/II libraries from source code, it takes just a few minutes to run a batch file. The included validation test suite verifies accurate operation of the library. For a list of currently supported environments, view the C-Index/II Current Release Information.
C-Index/II is designed to make it easy to port to new environments. Written documentation is provided and the source code is fully commented. All of the code that must be changed to create a new port is located in a set of .c and .h files containing the compiler specific routines. No changes to the primary source code are required. A validation suite is provided to verify correct operation of the library. Telephone support is provided for porting, see C-Index/II Technical Support.
